Who I am in Christ    

 

1.       I am a believer in Jesus Christ and my name is written in heaven.  I rejoice in this

(Luke 10:20)

20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven

 

2.       I have been given authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. (Luke 10:19 

19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 

 

3 .       I am blessed when I am poor in spirit and have the kingdom of heaven.  (Matt. 5:3)

4.       I am blessed when I mourn and will be comforted. (Matt. 5:4)

5.       I am blessed when I am meek and will inherit the earth. (Matt. 5:5)

6.       I am blessed as I hunger and thirst after righteousness, for I will be filled to satisfaction.  (Matt 5:6)

7.       I am blessed when I am merciful and will obtain mercy.  (Matt 5:7)

8.       I am blessed when I am pure in heart and will see God. (Matt 5:8)

9.       I am blessed when I am a peacemaker and will be called a child of God. (Matt. 5:9)

10.  I am blessed when I am reviled, persecuted, spoken against falsely, and rejoice in gladness that my reward is great in heaven. (Matt. 9:10-12). 

10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" 12 On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.  

 

11.  I am the salt of the earth and can influence the world for good. (Matt 5:13) 

13 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 

 

12.  I am the light in the world and can let my light shine and glorify God. (Matt. 6:14-16)

13.  I can pray to the Father in secret, and He who sees in secret will reward me openly. (Matt. 6:6)

17.  I choose to seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness first, knowing all the details of my life will be handled by God. (Matt. 6:33)
